Security Strategy Analyst (Remote) at CrowdStrike (Austin, TX)
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate cybersecurity professional to support our strategic competitive endeavors. This role will function as the strategic lead within CrowdStrike, responsible for understanding and developing competitive analysis for a specific segment of the market.
In this role you will be directly responsible for driving competitive field facing strategy, and working with our product teams to guide roadmap decisions by developing a deep, nuanced understanding of the technical capabilities needed to dominate the market, primary GTM strategy/tactics, as well as why CrowdStrike wins or loses. You will partner with senior leaders across Product Groups, Sales, Enablement, and Marketing to achieve these objectives and scale to a global level.
This role requires deep technical knowledge in cyber security endpoint protection, and a functional understanding of actual real-world deployments, extended use-cases, and customer motivations. The ultimate goal is to uncover new opportunities, strategies and tactics to enable CrowdStrike to win at scale.

Additional Responsibilities:
You will be required to synthesize and formulate guidance from a variety of information levels and sources (technical, business, field, external) and regularly present key takeaways to the field and to senior leadership
Provide a field-actionable, in-depth, and ever-evolving understanding and analysis of competitive dynamics, relative to CrowdStrike solutions and capabilities
Function as the company’s strategic advisor on this market, and become the “de facto” subject matter expert on the market for all business units and functions
Provide tailored deal support (opportunity assessments & guidance), and develop a deep rapport with the field
You will work closely multiple teams within CrowdStrike, including key stakeholders (Office of the CTO, field leadership, sales ops, product, and marketing teams), functioning as a primary liaison for cross-functional corporate initiatives relating to increasing market share including direct development of competitive support material and competitive readiness plans.
Make recommendations on sales tactics and product strategy to enable CrowdStrike to win in the market.
Will be expected to be a self-starter with an ownership mentality. You will work autonomously in the development of project plans, requirements, timelines, content, and ongoing tracking/updates of the competition. You will leverage executive sponsorship to collaborate cross-functionally across the entire company to execute your programs and drive success.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
Minimum 5 years of experience in the Cyber Security market with heavy emphasis on endpoint protection
Must have some field relevant experience in endpoint protection and associated security discipline
Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience (Ideal candidates will have experience in at least TWO of the following): sales engineer/pre-sales, field-facing competitive intelligence, solution architect, sales operations, product management, technical marketing, professional services
Proven ability to synthesize complex technical concepts into field actionable guidance and executive summaries.
Superior communication skills including experience presenting to senior & executive level management
Excellent people and project management skills to manage projects and interact/build rapport with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties
Deep understanding of customer motivations, pain points, and how to influence

Direct experience with customers (as a customer, or in a customer support or field role)
Hands-on experience with products (either evaluating/testing or in production)
