Senior Analyst, Corporate Development and Strategy
SailPoint is seeking a Senior Analyst, Corporate Development and Strategy, to support a diverse set of strategic and growth initiatives. This role would be responsible for helping drive corporate growth strategies including merger and acquisitions (M&A) while also directly supporting other growth and non-M&A initiatives including product and GTM strategy, competitive and market analysis, planning and deployment and tracking and reporting. We are looking for an ambitious data-oriented and results-driven individual that can assist the Company to develop and execute corporate growth strategies. Successful Corporate Development and Strategy Senior Analysts are highly ambitious, strategic thinkers, very analytical and data-driven, have strong quantitative abilities and focus, extremely detail-oriented, good communicators, self-starters, able to work autonomously or as part of a large team, natural problem solvers, enjoy working cross-functionally and collaboratively across the organization and not fazed by adversity or ambiguity.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform thorough research and analyses to improve business decisions to support corporate growth initiatives
Monitor and analyze business and product information and performance, conduct data interpretation, and develop recommendations for improving business and product performance to help drive growth
Build market overviews, company profiles and landscape analyses covering competitors and potential investments, major market trends, and SailPoint’s positioning
Deliver insightful analyses of market dynamics & strategic opportunities through primary industry research
Drive M&A and strategic partnership opportunities through targeted market scans
Inform potential new product and new market entry through build/buy/partner analyses
Analyze strategic and financial potential of specific opportunities utilizing structured analyses, both thesis-driven and opportunistic
Support the entire acquisition process including developing strategic rationale, conducting due diligence, financial analysis and modeling, valuation, integration strategy and planning
Manage the acquisition due diligence and acquisition integration processes from start to finish
Serve as a strategic business partner to develop strong, proactive collaborative working relationships across the organization
Requirements:
Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy, Investment Banking or Management Consulting experience is required
Strong quantitative, analytical and communication skills and attention to detail
Data-driven with keen ability to identify meaningful trends and patterns through data analysis
Ability to lead and influence diverse, cross functional, global and senior teams
Comfortable working in a rapidly changing and fast paced environment, able to manage constant changes of direction and priorities and able to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty
Clear thinking, inquisitive, structured, organized, creative, high sense of urgency, flexible, resilient and self-motivated
Ability to lead a global group in finding resolution of abstract/complex business problems
Adaptable and flexible style of collaborating with key stakeholders in setting direction
Proven ability to influence and partner with business leaders
Technical acumen and the ability to converse effectively on technical topics
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent field
Preferred:
3-5 years professional experience in corporate development, corporate strategy, management consulting, investment banking or transaction advisory consulting
3-5 years leading M&A transaction due diligence and/or acquisition integration planning and execution
Deep understanding of business and operating models in the software industry including SaaS
Cybersecurity or enterprise software industry experience strongly preferred
Master’s Degree
