GoDaddy empowers small business owners to grow their business online with a suite of tools for both the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) customer and the customer who needs professionals that will Do-It-For-You (DIFY).
We are a team of software engineers working in the heart of downtown Austin, Texas, dedicated to building world-class systems that enable small business owners to be seen, look great, and connect with their customers online. Our “Do-It-For-You” suite of tools allow GoDaddy professionals to create and manage fully-custom websites, digital marketing presence, email marketing campaigns, and more, so owners can focus on what they know best - selling their products and services.

As a Build and Release Engineer on our GoDaddy Austin team:

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain one or more Jenkins masters

• Develop and support CI/CD tools (such as Jenkins Pipelines, python deployment scripts)

• Manage and migrate CI/CD infrastructure on AWS (ECS, EC2, CloudFormation, Service Catalog)

• Help migrate local CI/CD infrastructure to the larger organization’s common processes and tooling 

• Assist engineers in troubleshooting build or deployment issues

Here’s what you’ll need:

• 5+ years professional experience with DevOps

• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and business value

• Strong knowledge in python, Jenkins Pipeline, and Jenkins Administration

• Some experience with AWS, Troposphere, CloudFormation, Docker, and Ansible

• Solid foundation in system administration and infrastructure as code

• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with local and remote individuals

• Egoless, team-first attitude. We celebrate successes and learn from failures together.

•  Approaching work through focused design, building something quickly, learning from it, and adapting based on learnings. Our processes are strongly influenced by Agile and Scrum best practices.

Here’s what we use:

• Languages: Python, Java/JVM, Javascript, Node.js, React, PHP, Scala

• AWS: CloudFormation, ECS, EC2, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDb, EMR

• Jenkins versions 1 and 2, Jenkins pipeline, Git, Maven, Elastic stack
