Senior Business Analyst
Q2 is looking for a Business Analyst to support the growth of our company as we move up-market to larger banks and credit unions. As a support member of this team, your primary focus will to develop detailed requirements and collaborate closely with our product, design and development responsible for bringing ideas to the broader product group for consideration and organization into detailed product requirements that aligned with our direction and overall product strategy.
If you are the right fit for this position, you are comfortable in a supporting role, yet capable of engaging in highly technical team discussions and requirements analysis. You will work on the product team in very close proximity to more senior product, sales, solutions consulting and implementations team members. You will learn our solutions, understand how we approach all aspects of banking and engage with customers and prospects to develop customer requirements. You will support the sharing of those requirements with the product team and work to prioritize them to our existing product roadmap. Ideally, you are a talented writer with strong analytical skills who also nurtures lasting relationships with highly technical team members and customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the gathering and analysis of product requirements
- Acts as secondary liaison between multiple departments including sales, product, design, development, and implementations.
- Supports the gathering and analysis of market research regarding product feature, function, direction and possible pricing recommendations.
- Partners with design and other team members to support the creation of detailed product workflows used by development to deliver on customer needs.
- Actively grooms and helps prioritize the product backlog and ensures alignment with broader product portfolio where appropriate.
- Assists in researching internal customer requirements to help ensure ease of implementation and support of the resulting software
- Support in the development and management of the professional services RFQ process when applicable
- Assists in training internal groups on key functional aspects of released functionality through various media – including in-person sessions, internal and external-facing documentation, and answering questions.
- Assists with acceptance testing of the software during the development cycle to ensure the functionality meets the needs of the customer
- Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate with clients to elicit, document, and guide requirements and project workflows
- Create use cases and/or report specifications for approval by clients and the Development team
- Effectively communicate with Management and project teams across the organization
- Gather specifications from clients and third party vendors
- Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
- Assist and mentor teammates to provide leadership and evangelize best practices
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s degree in (relevant degree) and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
- Financial Industry experience with in-depth banking knowledge
