Job Summary

As a Sr. Business Intelligence Manager at BlackLocus, you will have a direct impact on the business by helping our Business Intelligence Team develop, deploy and maintain, products, data structures and reporting. You understand that the best managers support and empower their teams, help remove roadblocks, and allow teammates to have ownership over their projects. You are equally happy talking about coding and data structures as you are helping non-technical stakeholders with their business needs. This position may be a technical lead or a people manager.
Responsibilities 

  • Provide team leadership and support for Product Support and Data Enablement team 
  • Coordinate execution and implementation of projects for Support, Engineering, Product and Data Science teams 
  • Foster collaboration between product, engineering and data science teams to solve tough business problems 
  • Work closely with internal/external stakeholders to implement solutions that meet their needs, while making sure the priorities for you team are properly aligned to business goals

 

Requirements

  • BS in CS, or equivalent experience including self-education 
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or similar work 
  • Experience using statistics, data mining or related disciplines
  • Familiarity with languages such as SQL, Python and/or Java 
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau preferred) 
  • Experience in an Agile software development environment 
  • Experience mentoring and developing others

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, MIS or other quantitative subject

We are lucky to be located right in the heart of downtown Austin, with our office on the top two floors of the historic Scarbrough Building on the corner of 6th & Congress. Beautiful views of both the Capitol building, and the Congress St bridge welcome you on both floors!
