FloSports, a leader and innovator in digital sports media, is currently seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team. We are looking for candidates that hear a statistic and think “I wonder what the sample size was?” and have experience arguing a little too hard about data models or methodologies. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contribute to organization-wide data reporting with regular and ad hoc analyses
• Create predictive models to solve business problems and drive insights about our customers
• Own critical analysis of KPIs, reconcile conflicts, and perform statistical analyses as necessary
• Work cross-functionally at all organization levels to expand data familiarity and reliance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

• 4-year degree with significant coursework in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Expert in Excel
• Excellent SQL skills, this will be tested
• Proficiency with a statistical modeling language (Python or R preferred)
• Tangible work experience with prediction modeling like clustering, regression, and other statistical methods
• Staggering analytical reasoning and attention to detail
• Comfort managing and leading multiple ongoing projects of varying size and scope
• Be able to speak to both technical and non-technical audiences, and have an executive presence
• Be a self-reliant and self-starting worker

BONUS POINTS: 

• Familiarity with dashboarding tools such as Periscope or Tableau
• Work in financial modeling and accounting data
•  Previous consulting experience
