The Senior Data Engineer will be part of a team that designs and develops YETI’s analytics solutions. Our needs are diverse and it is a certain that we will build and deploy software on both big data and traditional cloud data warehousing platforms. We are seeking a Senior Developer who has designed and delivered analytic solutions on cloud platforms. A Bachelors-Degree in Computer Science or related field is always preferred, however those with equivalent industry experience are just as important to us.
General Skills and Expertise
- Architect and design analytic solutions that deliver business value
- Expertise in Data Modeling and Architecture (Entity and Dimensional)
- Perform data profiling and analysis
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and manage change though the production environment
- Experience with the BI / DW lifecycle components including source data analysis, ETL, ODS, Data Lakes, Data Marts, Reporting, Dashboards, Analytics
- Strong experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Strong problem-solving ability and a positive attitude
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Intellectual Curiosity: Exploring new territories and finding creative and unusual ways to solve problems.
Specific Technical Skills
- Data Modeling, architecture and storage
- Data Ingestion and Orchestration
- Experience on one or more cloud big data platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud including:
- Data Integration:
- AWS Glue, Data Pipeline, or Kinesis

- Storage
- Amazon S3
- Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Store
