Data Engineer Position:

The Data Engineer is the right fit for a motivated engineer that is excited to be part of a growing business, interested in Artificial Intelligence, and is passionate about data infrastructure. As an Engineer you will be assisting in developing data set processes for data modeling, mining, and production. The right candidate will have strong experience architecting systems for collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing data and has demonstrated data-wrangling excellence. In collaboration with our Data Scientists, you will be a part of efforts to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality, as well as researching opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data. The right candidate for this role will leverage knowledge of large-scale processing systems to transform data into actionable insights.

 

Data Engineer Qualifications:                                     

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field
  • 5+ years of professional backend Python development (including NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, etc)
  • Deep experience with Relational Databases (SQL preferred)
  • 3+ years of Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
  • Extensive knowledge of databases and engineering practices
  • Robust ETL development experience
  • Ability to develop the transport layer using RESTful API (Flask, Django, or hug)
  • 3+ years of strong experience in architecting, constructing, installing, testing, and maintaining highly scalable data management systems
  • Strong experience in effective collaboration and technical problem solving within multidisciplinary teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills along with experience in preparing and delivering documentation, proposals, presentations, and structured working sessions to all levels in a client organization
