We are looking to hire a Senior Database Administrator to join our global database operations team at Fourth! This position will provide support for database systems servicing internal and external web and mobile application product offerings around the globe. The primary RDBMS used across all application product platforms is Microsoft SQL Server 2008 through 2017, standard and enterprise editions, and installed on-premises or in the cloud.

What You'll Be Doing. . .

• Analyze and resolve production database issues.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support and representation during the after-hours.
• Participate in database release management processes and coordinate maintenance of development, testing, and production environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to architect and implement databases designs in accordance with best practices.
• Help improve the security of database platforms by advocating a "least privilege" posture.
• Review systems and execute enhancements required to support business compliance objectives (e.g., SOCII). Assist the business by providing data during audit sessions or as required.
• Identify opportunities for query tuning using internal and third-party monitoring tools and by participating in code reviews.
• Configure and maintain HADR solutions such as SQL Server Always-On Availability Groups and log shipping.
• Configure and maintain replication solutions such as SQL Server transactional, merge, snapshot replication as well as other types of data replication as needed.
• Author T-SQL scripts to create or modify database objects, schema, stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views, as necessary.
• Author scripts and leverage third party software to automate repetitive or maintenance tasks.

What You Need to Have. . .

• 3+ years of Microsoft SQL Server deployment and management
• Substantial T-SQL scripting experience
• General scripting skills: PowerShell (or other)
• Query performance analysis and optimization skills
• Database systems troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of SQL Server replication topologies
• Extensive experience with SQL Server backup and recovery
• Experience using source control (e.g., git, TFS, Azure DevOps)
