Senior Manager, Business Applications

BigCommerce is looking for an experienced information technology manager to become a leader of our Business Applications team and ensure that core business processes are supported, maintained, and continuously improving. As the direct leader of our global development team, you will be reporting to the Sr. Director of Business Applications. You will work with leaders of our diverse business units to meet their needs, identify and implement improvements, and ensure system availability at the highest levels. You will also use your creativity and people management skills to lead the team to deliver a high-impact roadmap while continuing to optimize Salesforce and our ecosystem of critical business applications.
What you’ll do
- Responsible for delivering key business system functionality
- Oversee and execute on a product roadmap for our Salesforce platform and ecosystem
- Evaluate and implement new technology on the Salesforce platform
- Advocate process and solutions that deliver continuous improvement and implement best practices
- Drive high standards around data quality and security
- Help maintain compliance for SOX and regular security audits
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners and engineering peers
- Ensuring clarity around priorities and goals
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to perform Sprint activities for the delivery of new functionality
- Hire, develop and retain a high-performing, global team of developers, architects and administrators
- Coach and advise your direct reports to achieve their career goals
- Assist in planning the budget for the Bizapps team
- Work with application vendors & Salesforce development partners
- Build reports and scorecards to ensure our system’s health
- Manage alert and escalation process
Who you are
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of IT Leadership experience
- Proven record of IT leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Strong experience managing large Salesforce Orgs with 500+ users
- Application lifecycle management experience
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues in great detail
- Penchant for complex, technical subjects
- Fosters team collaboration
- Excels at relationship building
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce.com and Data Integrations
Nice to Have
- Salesforce.com Certified Architect
- Salesforce.com Certified Developer, Apex
- Certified ScrumMaster
- Experience with Zuora
- Experience with Marketo or other marketing platforms
- Experience with Salesforce Community and Knowledge
- Understanding of code promotion, version control, continuous integration and ALM processes
