We're hiring for a remote Sr. Business Systems Analyst to join our fast-growing Ascension Data Science Institute (ADSI), Ambulatory Analytics team! In this position, you will work with National and Local leaders to oversee the development of analytics to improve the quality of care and ambulatory operations for our patients. In this role, you will have the ability to help millions of patients across the United States.

What You Will Do
Serve as a key resource for an assigned customer area to understand and explain business and technical issues to provide viable technology solutions.

  • Work with customers to clarify and plan for their current and future technology needs.
  • Determine and map existing business processes/functions and recommend changes required to fit a tightly integrated system.
  • Design and implement projects requiring systems integration, small teams and multiple technical platforms.
  • Conduct Return on Investment (ROI) and other financial analysis to support project funding/prioritization.
  • Collaborate on driving improvement activities to achieve department and organizational goals.
  • Assume a proactive role in driving improvement activities to achieve department and organizational goals to deliver value.
  • Coordinate with functional teams to assure consistency and optimization of overall work product.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry and business process trends and is able to apply that knowledge to existing business processes.
  • Work with National leaders to define KPIs, coordinate procurement of data, design visualizations, and support integration of new analytic tools in operational project plans.
  • Support National and Local leadership decision making by developing key insights and actionable recommendations through data analysis.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and deep-dives to determine practices and interventions that lead to the best outcomes (whether quality, improved operations, etc.).
  • Lead high-priority analytics initiatives including work in Population Health, Behavioral Health, Palliative Care, Pain Management, and Patient Outreach.


What You Will Need
Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.


Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience preferred.


Additional Preferences

  • Bachelor's degree HIGHLY preferred
  • Performance Improvement experience preferred.
  • Project Management experience preferred.
  • Experience developing dashboards for executive leaders.
  • Experience leading process improvement efforts at outpatient clinics.
  • Knowledge of billing and clinical processes in outpatient clinics.
  • High acumen in developing insightful analytics that result in compelling and actionable recommendations.
  • Experience challenging stakeholders to think about problems differently, not immediately saying "yes" to every request, and translating business needs into meaningful information in a timely manner.
  • History of providing leaders with thought partnership and guidance on leveraging data to inform decisions.
  • Expert in data visualization and can effectively translate data into clear takeaways and recommendations that leaders can leverage to drive decision making.
  • Ability to simplify complex takeaways and develop appropriate messaging for various stakeholder groups.
