Job Duties

Sr. Data Architects for Austin, TX location. Using proprietary and open-source technologies, participate in building real-time data pipelines to produce up-to-the-second reports. Participate in the design and delivery of Petabyte-scale data stores, and design, optimize and operate data models used to store data. Build solutions for data ingestion, data wrangling, Data federation, Data Archiving and Data Visualization. Work with data scientists and technical staff to operationalize analysis and machine learning algorithms. Provide technical resolution on root cause incidents. Implement data architecture and data modeling strategies. Build prototypes in a lab environment and by using cloud services. Technical Environment: Oracle RDBMS 10g, 11g, 12g designs, implementations and operations, Java programming, Python programming for data integration, Big Data/NoSQL platforms (Hadoop, DynamoDB, Redis, Kafka, Storm, Riak, Spark, Presto, Hive, HBase, Cassandra, Ceph Object Store), Shell/Perl Scripting open source technologies, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Pentaho ETL, PL/SQL, Toad /SQL Developer, SQL loader, Oracle Stored Procedures, UNIX, Data Modeling.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering field plus three years of experience in the job offered or with databases/data architecture OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering field plus five years of experience in the job offered or with databases/data architecture required.
