Sr. Data Center Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Center Engineer who is passionate about building innovative products that scale to 400+ financial institutions. You will interact with stakeholders across Engineering, QA, DevSecOps, IT, Operations, Security Engineering, and Product Management. If you were working for us today, you would be:
- Architecting, planning, and engineering solutions to improve the services for hosted applications
- Actively contributing to the configuration, layout and performance tuning of the production infrastructure
- Participating in the development of high availability and disaster recovery application architecture for applications in coordination with application engineers
- Defining best practices to ensure efficient use of VMWare and Windows technologies
- Attend and actively participate in weekly meetings
- Leading team projects, working with the workgroup to achieve defined goals within set timelines
- Performing peer-level review of ‘Change Requests’
- Creating and updating existing documentation of processes and procedures in support of administration tasks
- Participating in rotating 24x7 “on call” support coverage for data center related issues
- Performing maintenance related activities during scheduled weekend maintenance windows
The things you will need to be successful in this role:
- 5 – 8 years experience in designing large-scale data center infrastructures
- Experience working with development teams introducing new products into production
- Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting of Windows Server 2012/2016/2019
- Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting of Linux (Ubuntu and CentOS)
- Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
- The ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- A calm, diplomatic demeanor and a cooperative nature, even in stressful situations
- The natural ability to lead and influence without direct authority
- A fantastic sense of humor
It would be helpful if you had/or are in the process of obtaining:
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- ITIL
