DESCRIPTION

The Device, Digital, and Alexa Support organization is seeking a thoughtful, creative, and innovative Sr. Information Architect to join our Support Experience team. Support Experience is a global team producing support content for customers and internal Customer Service associates. You'll be part of a multi-disciplinary team to design innovative support experiences so that they can be scaled and sustained globally and across multiple channels.

The Sr. Information Architect will have a significant impact on our business as they own and lead the architectural direction for the next-generation Help experience. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and other information architects to design models that connect authoring, publishing, delivery, and client environments and accommodate multiple perspectives. You will tackle our most difficult problems and work with a high degree of ambiguity, designing models that deliver best-in-class customer experiences, maximize engineering deliverables, and minimize authoring and production effort.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is passionate about designing models that meet complex requirements and are also built to sustain rapid increases in scale and innovation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BS degree in Information Management, Content Management, or another relevant discipline
· 7+ years of applicable work experience in designing information architecture for the implementation of large-scale content solutions
· Ability to translate business needs into long-term IA solutions
· Demonstrated experience with enterprise content management systems
· Proven record of developing new ideas and creative solutions
· Ability to present IA concepts and deliverables in a compelling and convincing manner
· Demonstrated experience with HTML, XML, DITA and an enterprise-wide content management system (CMS)
· Demonstrated analytical skills
· Demonstrated Project/Program Management skills
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Experience in product-managing highly scalable systems
· Experience supporting a multi-language publishing environment
· Extraordinary attention to detail, in particular across written skills
· Experience with producing content across multiple channels
· Experience in supporting distributed, highly scalable systems
· Critical thinking

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Masters degree in Information Management
· Demonstrated experience with headless web content systems
· Experience in a large multinational organization
· Ability to interact with and influence others effectively through teamwork and diplomacy
· Experience running usability studies
· Experience with best practices in adaptive/responsive web design
· Proven record of developing new ideas and creative solutions
· Experience interpreting and communicating analytics
· Experience working in an Agile environment
