Director of Analytics

RigUp is hiring a Sr. Manager, Analytics that will be responsible for building Analytics at RigUp. Our ideal candidate for this role will be someone who is excited by the challenge of building an Analytics team from the ground up and developing a team of analysts. Sound like you? Keep reading.
What you’ll be doing:
- Fulfilling the role of player and coach, you will be responsible for defining our first data and reporting strategy at RigUp
- Bring a sophisticated level of statistical and quantitative analysis to enable growth for RigUp
- Set the vision and build Analytics at RigUp from the ground up
- Lead and build a team of analysts
- Develop and execute on an enterprise-wide analytics strategy in partnership with Product, Operations, Data Engineering and other teams at RigUp
- Define company-wide metrics and relevant data sources
- Apply industry knowledge to interpret data and improve company performance
- Use an understanding of business strategy and analytics to move our company forward
- Develop and steward a data-driven decision making culture at RigUp
What you should have:
- Proven experience as an Analytics Manager, Data Scientist, or Business Intelligence Manager
- Ph.D or Master’s degree in field related to Analytics, such as Operations Research, Statistics, Econometrics, etc. (preferred)
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Analytics, Data Science, or Business Intelligence
- Minimum 2+ years of people management experience
- Marketplace Experience: You have previous experience with marketplace analytics & operations. You know what metrics are important, how are they derived and you know how to package recommendations and provide actionable insights to multiple stakeholders.
- Product Analytics Experience: You will work closely with the product team and influence the roadmap to ensure an effective marketplace and promote growth. You should be comfortable developing & monitoring usage and engagement metrics. Proven track record of applying statistical methods to solve real-world problems using data.
- Experience developing pricing strategies to gain market share, ensure high customer satisfaction, and achieve revenue goals. Also, experience building customer segmentation models to define optimal price bands for our partners.
- (Nice to have) Experience building enterprise-wide dashboards, KPI/metric definition, and self-service reporting tools such as Tableau
- Previous experience at a start-up or high growth environment (preferred)
- You have the ability to take technical complex issues and distill them into executive-level communication
