Our team is excited to add a new product analyst with strong stakeholder management and product or strategy experience, and the technical ability to process and make sense of large-scale data sets. If you’re a team player with a passion for product development and a natural curiosity for data, we’d love to hear from you.

This position will report to our Analytics Manager, Product & Technology and can work remotely from any U.S location or based in our headquarters in Carpinteria, CA, or our Austin, TX office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

  • Has top-level technical, analytical, and business acumen skills and experience using SQL, Tableau or similar, and dbt, and can successfully combine them to produce actionable insights.

  • Ability to communicate technical principles to non-technical audiences, with a clear tie to business context, goals, and strategy.

  • Partner with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineers to determine business requirements and priorities, define key performance indicators, and provide a clear bridge to product leadership.

  • Provide data that is accurate, harmonious, and reliable, and ensure the information is readily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems.

  • Educate and train internal customers to use data as an analytical tool.

  • Drive product adoption and user behavior by effectively identifying and addressing critical issues and needs. Design and document dashboards, alerts, and reports.

  • Conduct analyses of functional business processes and requirements; participate in the development of business cases in support of process changes or IT projects.

What we're looking for:

  • 6+ years in a data analytics role with strong problem-solving skills, MBA and/or consulting experience is a huge plus

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Management, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or specialized training/certification); or equivalent work experience

  • Is a creative, flexible thinker, who enjoys understanding and descering meaning from multi-layered situations and deriving actionable business insights from complex data and strategy settings.

  • Self-starter with experience devising and testing hypotheses and implementing research plans, with a proven track record driving meaningful decisions and business outcomes collaborating with senior leaders and key stakeholders

  • Strong ability to articulate best-in-class analytical techniques to business leaders and to recognize abnormalities in trends, boundary problems, and thresholds

  • Ability to gather cross-functional requirements and translate them into practical engineering tasks and technical deliverables

  • Comfort with a/b and statistical significance testing methods

  • Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to present strong data-driven storylines and content to both general and senior audiences
