Strategic Data Analyst

As Strategic Data Analyst, you will serve as the expert of our tremendous and growing portfolio of data assets strategically built to be a core foundational asset of our company. You will drive significant impact with your ability to understand, interpret, visualize, and communicate on all things data. Working closely with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders, you will play a key role in helping others understand the value of our data. Here are some of the ways in which you’ll achieve impact:
Serve as the Data portfolio expert across the organization
- Build deep understanding of all first and third party data assets, including specifics around data granularity, data quality, data hierarchy and applicability
- Demonstrate ability to access, manipulate, visualize, analyze, and visualize data
- Drive reporting around data assets in aggregate and in granular forms based on various requests (e.g., coverage calculations for specific fields, details around a specific score)
- Be able to articulate the key strengths but also key challenges, issues, and gaps of each data asset within portfolio; understand inter-dependencies amongst data sets
- Own and maintain the knowledge base, catalog, data dictionaries, and related artifacts
Understand and deliver to internal and external stakeholder needs
- Act as first responder on data-related questions to Acrisure internal teams, agency partners, affiliates, and other key stakeholders
- Serve as connection point between Acrisure Technology Group and other entities on best approaches to accessing, using, and interpreting data
- Enable agency partners to build understanding of the value of our data assets and data-related capabilities
- Help the push towards longer-term vision towards self-service for data-related needs
- Help drive data asset consolidation strategy; understand and be able to translate and communicate details on third party data vendor partnerships (e.g., contractual details, use cases, historical aspects of data etc.) to accomplish this objective
Drive strategic insights to inform overall data strategy
- Build knowledge and expertise of the data space across various verticals, insurance policies, types and categories of data, and types of use cases
- Use research insights to help drive overall data strategy and our underlying systematic approach to data acquisition measurement
- Help set up and lead rigorous evaluations of data vendors/assets with potential alignment to overall data strategy
- Keep up to date on developments, trends, and evolution in the data space
- Create innovative, cutting edge ideas on use of data within the organization

- Work experience: 5+ years of work experience -- at a strategy consulting firm, investment bank, private equity firm, and/or operating experience at a high-growth enterprise software, SaaS, or consumer internet business highly preferred.
- Academics: Undergraduate degree in engineering, science, mathematics, finance, or any quantitative major.
- Location: Willing and able to work from the headquarters in Austin, Texas (preferred), with remote roles considered for the right candidate.
