Technical Curriculum Developer (with Analytics Experience)

 

We are seeking an Technical Course Developer who will be responsible for the development of technical training courseware for the Forcepoint UEBA product line. The Technical Course Developer will be part of Forcepoint Technical Learning Services Organization as part of a growing, global team of technical Course Developers creating modern and engaging training across multiple delivery modalities.  In your role, you will build and deliver exceptional technical training on Forcepoint UEBA for our customers, partners, and employees.  Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Technical Development, you will collaborate with Forcepoint Trainers, Learning Program Managers, and business stakeholders plan and develop Forcepoint UEBA technical training for external and internal customers around the world.

 

Using a strong, working knowledge of instructional design principles and adult-learning best practices,  as well as using a variety of curriculum development tools and methodologies, you will bring your experience of end-to-end design and development of technical training courses to develop and maintain a suite of highly technical, yet engaging training courses. You will ensure that training materials are suitable for the context and environment that we operate in, with differing audience capabilities and level of technical expertise. You will be an innovative and creative individual, who can simplify and conceptualize technical material into effective training.

 

Key Performance Areas

  • Align the Forcepoint “Human Point” strategy within the delivery of training to ensure that students understand how the Human Point strategy is realized in our products and solutions  
  • Build knowledge of, and stay current in Forcepoint products and solutions, and associated offerings
  • Design and create highly technical, detailed, and engaging training using multiple delivery modalities on Forcepoint UEBA product family
  • Work with Subject Matter experts to ensure that all technical content in assigned courses is relevant and up-to-date
  • Update or amend previously developed technical training courses to meet current standards or solution requirements Meet with Subject Matter Experts to evaluate and recommend suitable e-learning solutions for new courses
  • Use sound instructional design techniques to analyze, design, and develop technical training courseware
  • Define appropriate learning objectives and create knowledge checks and assessment questions to support the validation of learner’s knowledge based on course content
  • Create media assets or leverage existing assets, perform image manipulation/optimization and modification of design layout to suit changes in the content
  • Drive all quality reviews, including user acceptance testing for all assigned courses 
  • Participate in peer-review of the storyboards/drafts of other Course Developers 
  • Participate in beta deliveries of new courses and drive continual improvement of assigned courses based on feedback

 

 

 

 

In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

  • BS Degree in Math, Computer Science or Instructional Design, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Analytics / Machine Learning / Deep Learning
  • 3+ years of experience in the corporate training space, specifically in the execution of all phases of technical training curriculum creation (and ideally delivery)
  • Experience gained in developing technical training courses for enterprise-class software, appliances and cloud-based solutions in support of a global software or cyber security company
  • A strong understanding of adult learning principles, methods, theories, concepts, and techniques with proven experience in creating technical training course to these principles
  • Skills in graphics creation and editing to design standards
  • Understanding of, and experience with, developing technical training content suitably for global cultures
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills for the purpose of documentation development, curriculum development, editing and communication
  • An acute attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management with the ability to follow through on multiple tasks and projects in parallel
  • Ability to organize and work under strict deadlines while producing quality deliverables
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a global agile team

We are located in the North Austin area by The Domain, off of Braker between Mopac and 183. Our office patio overlooks Quarry Lake.
