Technical Learning and Development Manager
The Role:
The Technical Learning & Development Manager supports the Engineering Team by developing and conducting new hire training, developing continuing education content, and managing process efficiencies and documentation. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to build out a new learning function and partner with one of our fastest growing teams.
You will gather learning data through both quantitative and qualitative means, and use your insights to identify gaps, create engaging content, and deliver that content in ways that delight our learners and create clear business impact.

What you will do:
- Develop Onboarding Content
- Build out content library for new hire training and establish best practices for new hire training
- Manage training logistics, including scheduling, communications and run day-of support for training sessions
- Design, develop & maintain technical training content, lab exercises, presentations, and accompanying materials.
- Developing Continuing Education Content
- Drive design and development of content
- Determine a continuing education schedule
- Partner closely with leaders to identify key topics and themes
- Managing Process Efficiencies
- Analyze current processes and developing improvements to support team growth and expansion
- Continual Learning Improvement
- Implement and continuously improve programs relative to learning & development, analyze learning effectiveness, solicit feedback, develop new ideas and challenge the status quo to improve learning success.
- Demonstrate business insight for supporting function through deep understanding of the roles, capabilities, and business processes; strive to become a subject matter expert utilizing networks of individual contributors and business leaders
- Analyze current documentation and developing improvements
- Other duties as needed to support the Learning and Development of the team
Requirements:
- 5+ Years experience in developing training programs
- Experience designing and developing instructor-led and e-learning content with technical subject matter content
- Experience creating curriculum and assessments
- Experience maintaining resource libraries and learning paths within tools like Confluence, Pluralsight, and LinkedIn Learning
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; clear and concise written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable building rapport, negotiating, and setting expectations with stakeholders, including those at the executive level
- Highly organized
- Thrives with both autonomy and collaboration
- Detail oriented, with a strong commitment to excellent, mistake-free work
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in education, science, or engineering
- Preferred: experience in supporting teams that operate in an Agile based environment.
- Preferred: knowledge of web technologies/frameworks/authoring languages
- Position is open for remote location except for in the following states: Alaska, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington, West Virginia, US territories
