2D Design Specialist - HOME OFFICE - KENDRA SCOTT

Position Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity to support our growing design team. Reporting to the 2D/Technical Design Manager, the 2D Design Specialist will deliver high quality 2D design mockups and technical design specifications according to brand standards. This role combines the need for proven excellence in design using Photoshop and high attention to detail, accuracy in describing jewelry construction, and efficiency in delivery high quality work in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
2D Design
• Develop 2D mockups of new jewelry styles as advised by 2D/Technical Design Manager
• Update 2D mockups of existing styles to conform to new design standards
• Recolor 2D mockups of existing styles as needed for cross functional use
• Create and update Assortment Sheets showcasing jewelry collections in development and publish to cross functional teams
Technical Design
• Create technical diagrams in Photoshop illustrating construction of jewelry styles and components
• Create technical specification documents using existing template in Excel for new styles accurately describing construction and functionality of each style
• Participate in editing process for technical specification documents with design team and cross functional partners prior to ensure highest level of accuracy
• Apply problem solving and collaborative skills to develop solutions to jewelry construction challenges
• Contribute to materials library maintenance and organizational projects
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years’ experience as a designer for a high-growth company
• A proven ability to execute with consistent delivery
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite with expertise in Adobe Photoshop
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of jewelry construction methods
• Ability to balance priorities and manage dynamic workload in a fast-paced environment
• A proactive mindset around identifying and offering solutions for potential challenges
• A strong ability to build relationship with co-workers and keep others informed
• A growth mindset: desire to learn, grow and embrace new ideas
