Position Summary:

Do you live and breath design, love working in a collaborative team environment, and care about making a positive impact on local communities across the country? Main Street Hub is currently looking for an Associate Designer to join our design team in Austin.

Job Responsibilities:

• As an associate designer at Main Street Hub, your day-to-day will involve everything from working with our product team to evolve our brand experience, working with our marketing team to drive strategic decisions, and collaborating with our sales leadership team to help design the selling experience for our 300+ member sales team. Your primary focus is designing fun, informative experiences, and collateral that showcase Main Street Hub as the experts in local content and social media.
• A successful associate designer must be willing to hone their craft through group critiques, direct mentorship with ample constructive feedback, and getting their hands very dirty. A deep passion for design and helping local communities is a must. This is a great opportunity to grow and challenge your communication, design, and strategic thinking abilities, with the support of our world-class product and design team.

Qualifications:

• 1-2+ years of hands-on professional experience as a designer working with marketing, brand, and/or product design teams.
• Strong collaboration skills - communication, flexibility, and an understanding that the best ideas can come from anyone, not just designers.
• Ability to receive constructive feedback, gracefully.
• A self-starter with your eye constantly on creative solutions.
• Comfortable with a fast-paced work environment and responsibilities for multiple projects at any given time.
• Empathy for the customer's point of view, with enthusiasm towards helping local businesses.
• Bonus points for foundational UX, illustration, and basic HTML/CSS skills.
