What You'll Do:
Ready to ride a rocket ship? The Director of Creative Services is responsible for the design and creation of visual assets for all LM branded materials including: webpages, nurture emails, sales collateral, trade show materials, internal and external presentations, swag, banner ads, and anything that needs to follow the LM brand guidelines. As a key member of the marketing team, the Director of Creative Services will own website conversion rate optimization, LM's visual language and iconography for marketing, and the development of our new brand guidelines.
Must have a strong vision for creating optimal web experiences and journeys, and will influence and contribute directly to site conversion and the success of business-critical campaigns. The Director of Creative Services will write and manage an RFP process to hire an agency for a website refresh next year so experience with that process is critical. The Director of Creative Services will manage a web developer, the web design agency (once hired) and several contract designers as work loads require.
Responsibilities:
- Own visual presentation of website design and UX (buttons, general look & feel, interactions, animations, etc.) including end-to-end responsibility from wireframes to prototyping to build/test. This includes the support and community websites.
- Own website conversion rate and optimization strategy and execution
- Own the customer website journey, and aligning website and other messaging with that journey and the narratives that convey LM's value.
- Work with Product team - especially on interaction with externally-facing design elements (i.e., LM app to company website tie-ins, use of application views in website, etc.)
- Own all elements of LM marketing design and brand aesthetics, ensuring they align with the Product brand.
- Support Marketing and Product Marketing in creation of all marketing and promotional material: webpages (lots of A/B testing support), landing pages, nurturing emails, customer facing emails, logos, trade show booths, case studies, slide decks, company swag, corporate branding and images
- Lead creative critiques and brainstorming sessions to develop original design
- Partner with UI/UX Designers to maintain a consistent and streamlined brand experience on the website and the app
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8 - 12 years experience in the tech industry
- Top-notch design chops as demonstrated by portfolio work
- Strong educational background in a design or art-related field
- Communicating complex ideas through world-class design that works across all media
- Expert knowledge of everything Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign are must-haves; After Effects a plus), Sketch, PowerPoint
- Expert knowledge of current web design and usability principles as well as UI/UX principles; understanding of responsive web design issues such as cross-platform compatibility, site loading time, accessibility, etc.
- Solid understanding of how design elements can help solve business goals and challenges
- Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress a plus
- A positive, proactive attitude, able to adapt to new requirements and maintain the flexibility to work with a diverse and international team
- Ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Solid presentation skills; comfortable with explaining the connection between project requirements and proposed design solutions to project stakeholders
- A passion for data and analytics, especially for researching, testing, and validating design hypotheses
- Knowledgable on the aesthetic development of logos, use of color, line and space
- Knowledge of B2B technology marketing process and resulting needs on sales and marketing
- Master at building wireframes to present website visual concepts
- Familiar with print design design software like InDesgin or Keynote
- Familiar with InVision or other prototyping software
- Familiar with modern web design trends and responsive design
- Experience with video, photography, and web animation a plus!
- Ability to use customer feedback to modify designs
