Your Impact
FloorFound is seeking an experienced design generalist to help drive our design process and envision the next stage of our circular commerce platform.
Our current platform relies on our team's deep knowledge and experience with shipping logistics to provide an end-to-end resale solution for bulky items. We've defined a niche where we excel and have demonstrated that our work makes a difference-but we need design muscle to guide our evolution into a truly modern platform.
What You'll Do
This role will work closely with our Principal Designer and Product Manager to understand the needs of our internal and external users, pick apart the details of recommerce logistics, and shape the vision for our platform alongside the rest of our team. We're looking for 'full-stack' design experience, but our emphasis is on discovery and concept definition over production-ready design and component management.
Our ideal candidate is eager to play a formative role in shaping our design processes, fluent in communicating design thinking across the whole company, comfortable with ambiguity, and excited to drive the culture of an emerging company. We're an early-stage company, so the person who will succeed in this role might have experience working on a small team familiar with the challenges of early-stage startup life.

Expectations

• Guide and refine the product vision.
• Define and drive the design process with the product team.
• Create concept maps, workflows, journey maps, wireframes, and other artifacts to communicate ideas & concepts with the team.
• Build trust and buy-in for design perspectives.
• Create higher-fidelity designs, prototypes and components.
• Establish and evolve our platform design system.
• Be an advocate for design thinking throughout the organization.
• Help us in fostering a positive and collaborative culture cross-departmentally.
