Responsibility as a Graphic Designer
This role will be expected to design and create content through all channels including brand, presentations, infographics, video, ad campaigns, digital and tradeshow graphics. The Graphic Designer will be able to quickly deliver phenomenal, memorable yet simple design while ensuring creative and design deliverables are representative of the project goals and brand values. An ideal candidate will have the ability to identify and keep up with new category trends while infusing effectively into creative work.
You are:
Someone who loves graphic design, typography and visual branding. You are capable, curious, and creative and challenge yourself on every design project. You have strong layout, color and typography skills and sort of consider yourself an infographic geek and a stickler for details. It’s likely early in your career but you already have the design confidence to share your design vision along with the willingness to learn and explore new ideas. Love both print and digital design? Yes, you’re the person we’re looking for!
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Ability to quickly deliver a compelling and clean design that tells a story.
- Ensure creative and design deliverables are representative of the project goals and brand values. Work hand-in-hand with copy/messaging to create clear narratives.
- Design and create content through all channels including brand, presentations, infographics, ad campaigns, digital and tradeshow graphics.
- Identify and keep up with new category trends with the ability to infuse effectively into creative work.
- Willingness to learn and explore new ideas.
- Comfortable being part of a multi-talented team and taking feedback without drama.
- An independent thinker who is self-motivated and able to juggle many projects and initiatives at one time.
- Comfortable taking constructive criticism and creative direction as well as developing and presenting original ideas.
- Ability to manage and organize high quantities of work and competing demands to produce the best creative output. Manage up and across when needed.
Experience with the following is a plus:
- Agency experience.
- Light copywriting abilities or at least a good grasp of messaging.
- Some video directing or editing experience.
- Basic photography and photo editing.
- Oh, and if you’re a foodie and have worked in a restaurant – all the better. That way you already know and love our industry.
Qualifications:
- Only Austin, TX based candidates will be considered.
- You will have a digital portfolio of your work
- Bachelor Degree in a relevant discipline (Art, Design, etc) preferred
- 3-6 years of Graphic Design experience
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, familiarity with Google business apps
- Diverse and quality design portfolio required
