Interactive Designer, HelloSign - Location Flexible
Role Description
The Brand Studio is responsible for defining and evolving the visual and verbal language that surrounds our product — a way to connect emotionally, become irreplaceable, inspire users, and create relationships. Dropbox has a unique brand, and it's one of the many reasons people love us. That voice and brand identity depend on a million tiny decisions made by thoughtful people all across the company.
We are seeking an Interactive designer with a developed and sophisticated design approach to help the HelloSign team adopt and maintain the integrity and consistency of the Dropbox brand across their web surfaces. As a member of Brand Studio, you will need to bring the through-line of our brand into the end-to-end experience by partnering with Growth, Marketing, and Research to inspire prospective and existing customers to discover and try the best products to suit their needs. To accomplish this, there should be a natural intersection of brand (expression, vision) and Growth (sign-up, plan selection, action) with a strong understanding of the holistic end-to-end experience.
Responsibilities
Work closely with our cross-functional teams to:
- Create web experiences across core HelloSign user segments using our web design systems.
- Develop and evolve our web design system to support new experiences.
- Leverage our HelloSign brand to show the value that our products bring to our diverse customers
- Partner with our Growth team to deliver on revenue-driving work. (Think webpage experiments and pricing/plan pages)
- Craft designs with balanced brand expression and utility
- Iterate on designs based on creative feedback, data, and research
- You have a high ability to:
- Create work that is on-brand, system focused, and up-levels our design work throughout crucial web experiences.
- Think end to end experience versus a single web surface.
- Be a proactive problem solver for revenue-oriented goals.
- Tackle complexity in both a high (e.g. systems) level and tactical/execution level.
- Work with partners across product, engineering, brand, and marketing.
- Be a strong communicator and advocate for the impact of our brand and its implementation.
- Nurture a culture of feedback in the team and with stakeholders to help you produce your best work.
- Navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced product environment and ability to prioritize.
- Understand business objectives and user centered problem framing.
Requirements
- You have 3+ years of experience in visual design for the web
- You have very strong grasp of interface-design skills—You understand the impact of motion, viewport sizes, accessibility etc.
- You have skill in understanding the value of a web design system for scalability, consistency and customer focused behavior.
- You have expertise in creating work to tackle core problems like driving adoption, increasing revenue, and product comprehension
- You are proficient in but not limited to Figma, Sketch, Illustrator.
- You understand the requirements of the creative process, including typical time and resources needed to produce quality work on time and to specification.
- You enjoy working with a team that thrives on feedback and mentors each other.
