Our team is creating meaningful impact in a world of data breaches and hacked passwords. We also have a lot of fun doing it. We love learning from our customers through our research practice. Our project work and design systems span mobile and web interfaces. The team is highly collaborative and works closely with engineers and product managers. We are at an exciting moment in our growth. A Principal Product Designer at Duo…
Provides creative direction, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced team members.
Directly contributes to the entire lifecycle of a product including, but not limited to: conceptualization, research, interaction and visual design, user experience, usability testing, and prototyping.
Thinks about the entire customer journey and establishes meaningful metrics and success criteria to ensure consistency of user experience.
Someone who collaborates with Product, Engineering and others to establish and clarify project requirements and can convincingly communicate design solutions that solve business problems.
Someone who stays informed of advances in culture, academia, and industry and applies that knowledge to enhance Duo's product offering.
In this role you will…
Lead large, multi-quarter initiatives that align with Duo’s top priorities and deliver new and innovative features.
Help craft the overall product strategy, by applying domain expertise in SaaS, and enterprise software.
Be an advocate for the design process and constantly push for delivering outstanding Duo customer experiences.
Take on the role of an advisor to peers and senior leadership.
Work closely with Design Researchers, Product Managers, Engineers to develop new customer-facing features.
Design for the future, but understand the time and technology constraints of now.
Play a key role in defining project goals and setting their team up for success.
Actively develop their team’s skills through regular design reviews, mentorship and strive to elevate the quality of the entire design team’s work.
Experience you bring includes…
Developed deep expertise in Design Research, Interaction Design and Information Architecture
Proven experience designing complex web and mobile applications
Leading and performing design research efforts
Knowledge of design software (Sketch, Figma, or other.) Knowledge of prototyping software (Marvel, InVision, or other.)
Using Lean, Agile, or other methodologies to help team members successfully plan and manage product life cycles
Working as part of a cross-functional product design/development team
Advocating for design and presenting compelling design solutions to key partners
