Prism.fm helps independent concert promoters and talent buyers in the music industry organize information and streamline their business. We take previously convoluted and fragmented tasks like managing calendars and building contracts from spreadsheets off the promoter’s hands, so they can focus on doing what they love and are best at -- creating amazing experiences that bring people together. 

Our vision is to improve the quality of life for all live music professionals by connecting them to each other and making collaboration easier. 

In 2018 we signed up our first client, Austin’s own Empire Control Room. Since then, we’ve added over 100 clients who touch over 1000 venues across the country. We’ve raised $5 million to date and are currently setting our sights on a Series A round for late 2020. 

The Role

Prism.fm is looking for a product designer who is excited to join us on our mission of simplifying and streamlining the live music booking process. In our minds, having a strong Design/UX presence in our organization is key to achieving our desired success. As our first Design hire, you’ll lay the foundation for the role and work closely with the product manager and engineering team to turn complex and tedious processes into intuitive experiences for our clients.

Day-to-day responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with the product manager to research current user behavior and develop solutions to improve the client experience across our application
• Help simplify key user flows through elegant design solutions
• Build wireframes and prototypes to test new ideas with current and prospective clients
• Create UI mockups and final designs for development 
• Collaborate with engineering throughout the development process
• Establish unified design and UX standards for the company

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in a product design role
• Proficiency in visual design and prototyping tools such as Sketch and Figma
• Strong portfolio that showcases your knowledge of design principles and information architecture, interaction design, and visual design skills 
• Demonstrated experience simplifying complicated processes through user-centered design
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to clearly articulate complex ideas
• Desire to move quickly and have influence on an industry-shaking product
• Positive attitude and an open, collaborative spirit
• Ability to speak up and help shape the company from the ground up
