Starting out as a real estate brokerage, Jovio created a suite of products to assist our in-house agent team in delivering an excellent customer experience to the clients we worked with. After testing and iterating on these products with our internal team and clients, we’re ready to share them with the world.

About the Role‍

Jovio is seeking a UX/UI Designer to join our growing design team and help us create a cohesive, intuitive, and engaging product for real estate professionals and their clients. We are searching for an empathetic designer who takes a human-centered approach to crafting the simplest path home. 

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally to collaborate with managers, designers, and engineering teams.
  • Coordinate information gathering, define problems and root causes, recommend appropriate solutions and anticipate future issues that may not be readily apparent. Plan, organize, and facilitate Design Thinking exercises.
  • Translate business requirements, technical limitations, and user needs into viable design solutions.
  • Develop and iterate on task flows, wireframes, and implementation ready high-fidelity mockups, then appropriately document and package assets for hand-off to implementation.
  • Create common synthesis documentation: personas, journey maps, diagramming etc. 
  • Collaborate with Product Manager to structure research plans, generate interview scripts, conduct testing, and facilitate in-person interviews with users. Document and communicate research findings to stakeholders.
  • Use statistical tools and analysis to evaluate hypotheses and product performance.

Qualifications

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in Product Design, Experience Design, UI/UX Design, or a similar role.
  • Mobile-first/responsive design experience
  • Successful working both independently and collaborating with implementation teams, with experience designing UI products from conception to completion.
  • Ability to assess and interpret client and end user needs (e.g., business requirements, product roadmap, and end user research)
  • Strong understanding of User Centered Design with experience supporting a project from kickoff through implementation
  • You have a core design skill set that includes wireframing, building user flows, whiteboarding, problem-solving, and information architecture. You can think in both low and high fidelity and understand the impact of design on user experience across an ecosystem of products.
  • You appreciate great product design and can evaluate what makes an experience good or bad.
  • You have an acute attention to detail and inconsistencies in products drive you crazy.
  • You have excellent communication and persuasion skills with an ability to explain your work. You naturally speak on behalf of the user.
  • You crave constructive feedback because it makes you a better designer. 
  • You have a portfolio that demonstrates your user-centered approach across a variety of mobile and web applications (please include a link in your application).
  • You are proficient in Sketch
  • You’ve worked with Material’s Design System and have experience applying established design patterns to your work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a startup environment
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React

Our office is located right off South Lamar. It's easily walkable to some of Austin's best restaurants (including Loro which is right across the street!), coffee shops, and breweries.
