Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Design Operations Strategist to join Procore’s UX organization. In this high-impact position, you'll create efficiencies for our design and cross-functional teams, as well as streamline our design processes, programs, and tools.

As a senior member of the Design Operations team, you'll use your design and program management background to deeply empathize with the needs of the UX team. You'll drive initiatives end-to-end, partnering within UX and across Procore’s Product and Technology (P&T) organization to define, rollout, and maintain programs and processes. We're looking for a gifted collaborators who can dive deep into a problem space and navigate diverse stakeholder needs to arrive at simple, scalable solutions.

As a Senior Design Operations Strategist you will also lead activities that promote a healthy department and culture, including surveys, recognition, change management, team norms, etc. You care deeply about forming meaningful relationships with your department, and fiercely advocating on their behalf to ensure organizational health. This position reports to the leader of the Design Operations Team, and will be based remotely. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with and influence both ICs and leadership, leading with empathy

• Continuously improve processes, practices, and culture on the UX team

• Improve and maintain relationships and processes with P&T partners in product, engineering, ops, and program management

• Evangelize the value of design and associated processes to partners outside of UX

• Own and manage initiatives, ensuring pertinent information is communicated and understood by partners and leadership

• Drive momentum around priorities with resilience and positivity

• Define change management strategies that encourage healthy adoption of new processes & programs

• Continuously adapt to the complexity of a high-growth environment

What we’re looking for: 

• 5+ years of experience in product design and/or design program management

• Successful track record of creating and managing impactful design programs and processes for teams at scale

• Experience supporting and collaborating with UX teams at scale, including UX disciplines such as Research, Content Strategy, and Design Systems

• Strong project management and time management skill sets

• Ability to partner and negotiate with partners in product, engineering, ops, and program management

• Analytical and data-informed approach

• Strong written, verbal, visual communication

• Systems Thinker

• Preferred: Proficiency in leading design software such as Figma or Sketch

• Preferred: A portfolio showcasing your approach to defining processes and/or programs that support a UX department

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent work experience
