The Opportunity
We are hiring a Sr. Product Designer to help with our mission of creating the most effective path to tech skills for learners and transforming businesses. As you may imagine, Home is the epicenter of Pluralsight. It's where our learners can turn to continue their learning, for personalized recommendations on what to do next and the full context of how they can help themselves and their organizations. From a design perspective, you will lead the Home page, Custom Home Page, Bookmarks and Learning History.
You will be tasked with building dynamic modular, extensible components that can be arranged and rearranged by Learners, Technology Leaders or in-team algorithms. Your goal will be to lift content starts, depth of learning and ultimately make learners smarter than they were yesterday by intimately understanding our learners' motivations and personalizing their Home experience.
You will work with a cross functional Product Experience Team (PXT) consisting of yourself, a Product Manager and five Software Engineers, with regular support from Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Product Analysts and IT Operations to reach your objectives.
Experience you'll need:

• 5+ years of user experience design and visual design for Software or other complex GUI experiences
• A strong understanding of user research and human-centered design
• An analytical approach to testing new features
• A history of building data driven and informed products
• Demonstrated ability to speak on a technical level and communicate clearly with engineers
• Experience with products that use machine learning or emergent technology a plus
• A history of seeing the big picture and building products that are much larger than your individual team.

What you'll own:

• You'll drive the usability and problem framing of Home products
• Creating divergent concepts, wireframes, designs and prototypes for testing, experimentation and development
• Collaborating with team members to design the right experiment for the research question
• Collaborating with product manager on the vision and strategy of the product
• Iterating through conceptual research and usability testing
• Defining the information architecture, the interactions, and the visual design
