Senior Product Designer

This Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to help us with both ongoing and new projects, while helping to build a growth mindset culture. In this expansion role, you will work on multiple projects from our iOS and Android apps, desktop apps, online console, and finally to high-value web design opportunities. These projects will allow you to demonstrate skills from visual and interface design through research and UX, into prototyping and even programming. You will not only work with fellow designers, but with the engineers on each project as well as collaborating with and facilitating feedback from product, sales, support, and marketing stakeholders. The position is located onsite in our Austin TX office, with a work-from-home option per local COVID best practices.
What you’ll do:
- Iterate through and deliver multiple fidelities of work: user flows, wireframes, low-fidelity prototypes, polished visual comps, and high fidelity prototypes.
- Write research plans for testing riskier designs.
- Through hands-on help as well as redlines and sliced assets, support developers through the implementation of your designs, working alongside them to provide visual QA.
- Aid in setting success criteria for your designs, upon which to base future revisions.
- Know everything about Zello. You will have become a subject matter expert regarding our apps and platform, and acquired a rich understanding of competing solutions, our consumer and business use cases, and user and customer personas
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- 5+ years of product or UX design experience
- 4+ years of experience in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- 4+ years of experience with Sketch and (not ‘or’) Figma
- 2+ years of experience in a prototyping tool of choice
- Familiarity with Xcode and Android Studio. Confidence building and testing a project locally.
- You are fully capable of writing modern HTML/CSS and basic proficiency in Javascript.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with auto layout
- Familiarity with Sass, PostCSS, React
- Familiarity with Jamstack
