We are looking for a Senior UX Content Strategist to collaborate with designers and product managers to drive the creative vision of our product’s verbal communication. You will create useful, meaningful text that encourages users to engage with our products by reducing friction in complex content and clarifying high-value experiences. In this role, you will help shape and carry the RMN “voice” throughout our products, meaning that you'll be responsible for not only user comprehension, but also the style for how content is delivered. 

Who You Are

  • You can show us a portfolio of work that demonstrates content that clarifies as well as elevates the overall user experience
  • You can demonstrate how different devices (mobile vs. tablet vs. desktop) impact content experience
  • You have a BA Degree in Linguistics, English, HCI, UX Writing or a related field and have spent 7 or more years experience as a writer for a consumer audience in digital products
  • You are experienced working within product design/development processes, particularly Agile scrum
  • You have a love of collaboration—with designers, product managers and engineers
  • You possess a deep understanding of information architecture and taxonomies in content structure
  • You consistently use generative research, usability testing and other UX practices to inform and improve your copy development
  • You confidently handle multiple contending priorities in a dynamic, constantly changing environment

What You'll Do

  • Define guidelines and resources for product designers and developers to ensure high-quality, repeatable content development
  • Coach designers and assists with reviews of their work in the application of content strategy guidelines and resources, to improve value of communication
  • Have a systems perspective for ensuring that content is findable, easy-to-understand and actionable for users
  • Use empathy, logic and hard data to inform content choices that targets user needs and supports business objectives
  • Synthesize user feedback and test results to improve content and language, through the use of insights, verbal mental models, and behavioral themes
  • Work throughout all phases of the design process, in unison with designers, where written word is an instrumental component of the design solution
  • Monitor content performance and ensure that all content meets SEO guidelines, has keyword focus, cross links, and clear calls to action
  • Regularly studies trends in language and culture, and applies them to our product design to maintain relevance and resonance with our users
  • Liaises with marketing to drive continuity of language and tone throughout the customer experience
