As Principal User Experience Designer you will be leading the design efforts of GoDaddy’s Websites + Marketing Onboarding team. To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of design systems, strong visual design style, and layout techniques. We are seeking a candidate that can think through complicated design systems and challenge existing constraints. Candidates should also have experience executing design projects from conception to production, delivering high-quality pieces on tight deadlines, as well as defining and implementing success metrics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the design lead for onboarding users into GoDaddy’s Websites + Marketing suite

• Understand customer needs, journey, and product requirements to design usable, useful, and engaging user experiences

• Conducting regular user testing and research

• Define and implement success metrics

• Design experiences to scale across multiple scenarios, products, and customers for the web

• Clearly define and document problems, goals, user needs, insights necessary to communicate and implement designs

• Actively lead multiple projects, from start to finish, to meet priorities and requirements in an agile environment

• Effectively communicate and collaborate with engineers, POs, designers, researchers, and writers to conceptualize, prototype, test, iterate, and build end-to-end experiences

• Drive usability studies, research and market analysis and integrate results to improve the user experience.

• Build interactive design concepts and accompanying prototypes

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Communication - able to encourage and sell a vision

• Experience with A/B design split testing

• Experience applying research and analysis to site development

• Shown interpersonal skills, client relation skills and ability to work in a team environment

• Ability to focus on several projects concurrently

• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills

• Understanding of and experience with: user-centered design techniques; development of organizational/structural concepts for Website; project processes for the development of large scale Website projects; documentation requirements for Web development teams; application of content management, personalization, targeting and searching systems

• Detailed and highly organized, including ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines

• Bachelor's degree preferred, with multidisciplinary backgrounds such as psychology, computer science, information sciences, human/computer interface design or commerce/business or experience equivalent
