What you’ll be doing
As a Sr. UX Researcher, you will uncover what our users need from our products by conducting primary research, exploring the behaviors and motivations of our users, and working with teams of Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and others, to develop new features and products. You will be a vital member of the team responsible for the testing and creation of Experian’s products, from identity protection to credit education solutions, and beyond. You will work closely with our User Experience Designers, Product Managers, Data Analysts, and Developers to test best-in-class product experiences for our portfolio of responsive web and native mobile apps. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in user research with a strong and well-articulated product design perspective, who draws inspiration from UX research and product design communities.
- Design and implement a robust user research practice that supports both the Product team in testing prototypes and product concepts, and in validating and exploring users’ perceived value of current products.
- Recruit users and moderate user testing sessions on a regular cadence.
- Summarize research findings for the broader cross-functional teams and stakeholders (internal and external).
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Engineering, Sales, and Business stakeholders on defining and clarifying product requirements.
- Understand qualitative and quantitative research data, business goals and requirements, and translate them into functional designs.
- Optimize products by closely analyzing user engagement performance metrics and testing alternative design solutions.
What your background looks like
- Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Learning Sciences, Statistics, Psychology, a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in an applied research environment, including experience integrating user research into product designs and strategy
- 5+ years of experience collaborating with multidisciplinary UX and/or product teams (visual and interaction design, research, content and writing, engineering, product management) on technical implementation
