We are looking for a Senior Visual Designer with brand system experience to join the Bankrate, Brand + Creative team.  In this role you will redefine and amplify the Bankrate brand, one of the country’s biggest names in the industry, with the mission of empowering everyone to have a healthier relationship and greater confidence with their money.

You’ll work with a team of Designers, Editorial Editors, Social Media Producers, SEO Analysts, Developers, Content Strategists, and more on a range of projects including branding, campaign initiatives, social campaigns, paid promo, and online experiences.

What You’ll Do

• Define, document, and amplify the Bankrate brand in new ways and across new integrated brand campaigns and initiatives.
• Collaborate with creative and marketing team members to concept and deliver creative ideas.
• Lead discussions on typography, color theory, layout, and brand strategy principles and design techniques. 
• Confidently express and discuss creative ideas and provide thoughtful rationale for design decisions, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to take projects from concept to production while thoughtfully receiving and considering feedback from others. 
• Exhibit a deep understanding of our mission and values, demonstrating an innovative approach to storytelling, conceptual design, and visual systems.
• Ensure a high standard of visual execution and brand consistency in every aspect and across all platforms.
• Flexibility to manage a mix of large and small projects, with varying levels of priority and urgency. 
• Always looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and evolve as a designer and teammate.

What We’re Looking For:

• A solid portfolio and 5+ years of experience as a multi-disciplinary visual designer that includes branding systems. 
• A highly collaborative team player and are comfortable sharing work early and often.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications and a bonus of experience in prototyping tools like Figma.
