Position Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity to support our Store Development team with our rapidly growing store base. Reporting to the VP of Store Development, our Store Design Coordinator will contribute to customer experience, cost savings and revenue by improving speed and accuracy of new store design evolutions. This specialist level position will be primarily responsible for coordinating preliminary plans and executing design changes and updates to floor plans and elevations until the designs have been approved internally. The position will also help build guidelines for best practices for our General Contractors and Vendors and support new fixture and signage designs. This role combines the need a passionate for design and a desire to meet tight deadlines in a creative environment.
Responsibilities:
Store Design Execution
• Coordinate floor plans for all new store designs and any existing store updates. Ensure plans are organized for clear communication and distribution during design reviews.
• Execute iterative design evolutions and updates via sketch and CAD as visioned and directed by VP Store Development, VP Design and/or CEO.
• Partner across team and cross functional teams as needed to gather requirements for execution and communicate results.
• Prepare approved final designs for distribution to external architects or vendors.
• Document and catalog historical designs
• Identify opportunities for process and improvement and leveraging of best practices
• Prepare documentation of best practices for General Contractors and Vendors
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in architecture
• 0-2 years’ experience as an architectural draftsman
• A proven ability to execute with consistent delivery
• Comfortable working with AutoCAD, Revit, Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel
• Exceptional ability to listen to others and interpret ideas and designs
• Strong organization, time management and project management skills
• A strong ability to build relationship with co-workers and keep others informed
• A growth mindset: desire to learn, grow and embrace new ideas
