We are looking for a UI Designer to join our RetailMeNot Product Design team in sunny, downtown Austin!

You will be responsible for creating simple yet rich interfaces across a variety of platforms, while contributing to the development and expansion of our design system. You know that design is the details. You believe UI design includes, but is more than just aesthetics and are able to evolve our design language and build visual frameworks that support multiple product initiatives. You are comfortable giving and receiving design feedback. You have a strong passion for animation, illustration, hierarchy, color theory, icon design, typography, and micro-interactions. You'll be accountable for the production of high-quality, innovative UI solutions which advance our products forward.

Who You Are

• You have a degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design or related field
• You've got at least 3+ years of experience as a Visual/UI Designer for digital products (mobile experience is a plus)
• You have at least 3+ years of experience working directly with developers for implementation of designs
• You're fluent in native patterns and guidelines for Android and iOS.
• You have rigorous attention to detail
• You have experience designing in Agile design & development environment
• You're proficient with design tools including, but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Invision, etc.
• HTML and CSS experience highly desired (This role does not require the designer to code, but you should be knowledgeable to collaborate with developers))
• Strong portfolio required for consideration of this position

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with User Experience Designers, Content Strategists, Copywriters, and UI Engineers to turn low-fidelity prototypes into mockups and specifications
• Translate user needs, pattern libraries and requirements into elegant solutions
• Conceptualize and visualize experiences using Sketch and prototyping tools such as Principle and Invision Studio
• Stay up-to-date on the latest UI trends for web and native platforms to inform how we evolve the visual identity of RetailMeNot experiences
• Balance and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, agile environment
• Follow and maintain AA accessibility standards to produce experiences that are inclusive and accessible
• Deliver production-ready assets to Engineering, and provide support and QA through implementation
• Articulate your design decisions to executives, peers, and partners
• Coordinate and collaborate with our Marketing team to ensure brand consistency across the entire customer journey
• Provide feedback and insights to your team and partners regarding areas of best practices, design techniques, trends, and tools
