KindHealth is on a mission to make health insurance suck less. 80% of the 90 million Americans on individual insurance buy plans that don’t meet their needs. Once we have the insurance paying bills and managing doctors is a nightmare, with a medical system that seems designed to be overly complex. While big carriers fight with Washington and see record breaking profits, we are here building applications to navigate what it means for our fellow confused consumers.

If you so choose to accept our mission, you will be helping our members navigate a complex and emotional topic giving them hope that their healthcare is in the hands of professionals. We are looking for a UI/ UX developer, who can bring the best of creativity to deliver leading edge user experiences from concept through final product release. A few skills that we think are require for this include:

- Delivering innovative user experiences with UI designs from concept to design to prototype to final product, including user research, storyboarding, wireframing and interactive design.

- UX/UI, graphic design, HTML5, CSS, Sketch, and Adobe CS tools. Agile development is a plus.

- Working with the engineering team to implement UI templates and design specifications to ensure visual consistency across platforms (Web, iOS/Android, Messaging, Email etc.).

- Coding with JavaScript and build tools like npm, babel, and Webpack, and server-side web frameworks like Express (Node.Js)

- Experience with precompiled CSS languages like SASS, LESS, and Stylus

- Experience writing tests with frameworks such as Mocha, Chai and Jasmine.
