As the Lead User Experience Designer, you will led of our effort to create innovative and easy to use software that is filling the holes in the social safety net. Your mission in this job is to understand the real-world problems faced in navigating the social service ecosystem in order to design, test, deliver, and iterate on solutions. This role will lead the refinement of the experience of finding help and will set the standard for other User Experience Designers and Researchers to support our radical leaps in connecting people to services. This position will leverage findhelp’s insights and data to create impactful innovations in the search and connection experience.
What You'll Do:
- Craft our design thinking and a human-centered, entrepreneurial approach within our teams
- Shape, lead, and/or coach compelling engagements that benefit our end-users, findhelp, our customers, and society as a whole
- Manage a team of User Experience Designers and Researchers
- Manage relationships with stakeholders from all findhelp’s departments (e.g. Sales, Customer Success, Marketing) to define needs
- Continually keep abreast of emerging and best-in-class design systems and maintain a high-level understanding of the capabilities of our platform
- Make decisions in creating, testing, and sharing new and better tools, methods and processes for conducting collaborative programs, and find ways to multiply the value of the insights gained from every engagement
Experience You'll Bring:
- 7+ years of experience designing and launching products with seamless customer experiences in complex, fast-paced environments requiring critical thinking
- Experience developing and maintaining Design Systems
- Expertise building concepts and presenting ideas to stakeholders for feedback and acceptance
- Success in coaching User Experience Designers to grow in their own careers
- Your portfolio demonstrates a relentless focus on the user, a keen eye for detail, and an understanding of how to measure success from a business and customer perspective
- A track record of communicating and executing on a defined product vision
- Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with partners across disciplines including Product, Engineering, and Marketing
- Bachelor Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Information Design, Graphic Design, or a related design or behavioral science discipline a plus, or equivalent experience
