Job Brief
We are looking for a UX Designer to design software and platforms that meet users' needs. You will combine interfaces and workflows to enhance the user experience. In this role, you will be an analytical and creative designer who can grasp user needs and solve problems. You will work closely with the Lead Designer on executing strategic deliverables (e.g., journey maps, affinity diagrams, user flows, information architectures), conducting research, and managing deadlines. A strong portfolio of successful UX and other technical projects is essential. Ultimately, you will make our product more user-friendly and intuitive to attract and retain customers.
Responsibilities
- Understand product specifications and user psychology
- Conduct concept and usability testing, design reviews, and gather feedback
- Write research summaries (script, moderating, analyzing) and blog articles (to drive awareness and promote work)
- Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success
- Develop wireframes, fully annotated high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes around customer needs
- Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
- Work with UI designers to ensure consistency, scalability, and readiness of the product while implementing attractive designs
- Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers
- Keep abreast of competitor products, best practices, and industry trends
- Regularly update project management tools (e.g. JIRA) and work cross-functionally to meet workload requirements and deadlines
- Review documentation to ensure completeness, clarity, and consistency with other design system patterns and documentation
- Take ownership of certain features or experiences and develop deep subject matter within an assigned focus area
Requirements
- BS in Design, HCI, or a related field OR relevant experience
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer, or similar role
- Strong portfolio of design projects
- Background in project management and research
- Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
- Proficient in design software (e.g. InVision, Figma)
- Problem-solving aptitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently with a minimal level of guidance
- Ability to independently collaborate with multiple teams
