We are looking for a Visual Designer to lead design strategy and execution for promotional and marketing communication at Wheel. This is a role for a conceptual, visionary designer who is energized by creating new visual standards for a brand, and also enjoys bringing those ideas to life through implementation and day-to-day execution across a variety of channels and media.
-Responsible for the management and execution of all visual assets, spearheading visual problem-solving in an innovative manner to communicate complex ideas in simple, digestible ways
-Refine the Wheel brand guidelines to reflect the latest design standards in an ownable, accessible graphic approach.
-Design compelling assets for use by the sales, product marketing, growth marketing and content marketing teams, including infographics, iconography, sales slide presentations, web pages, campaign landing pages, animations, video storyboards, newsletter templates, social media graphics, and more
-Take complex ideas and communicate them in visually elegant, simple ways to drive better engagement with our audiences
-Collaborate with the Product UX Designers to ensure alignment of the visual standards being applied within the product as well as through our marketing channels.
-Visually interpret qualitative concepts and quantitative data acquired through market research in order to create compelling storytelling devices
-Develop responsive designs for the websites and campaign landing pages which employ thoughtful UX in line with our brand
-Collaborate with marketing team members to conduct research as needed with customers, clinicians and target audiences in order to cultivate an understanding of market trends and user insights
-Engage in thoughtful listening practices in order to understand what the Sales, Product Marketing & Growth teams need to communicate in order to apply visual problem-solving strategies to bring those ideas to life
-Be an untiring steward of the Wheel brand!
-3-5 years of experience in a relevant or similar design role
-Training and education in visual communications, brand identity and graphic design
-A portfolio of work to demonstrate experience, style and approach
-Has a deep understanding of brand design, visual hierarchy approaches, information design concepts, typography, iconography, and color strategy
-Proficient with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Hubspot, Instapage, Google Slides and other relevant applications
-Knowledgeable of UX best practices, current industry trends, and the latest design strategies
-Ability to clearly articulate rationale for design decisions
-Desire to collaborate closely with a variety of team members to extend design solutions to help them so they can be as effective as possible in achieving their goals
