Visual/UX Designer
 

OJO Labs is looking for a passionate and talented Visual/UX Designer that enjoys tackling a variety of digital design challenges including performance marketing assets, web design, online and social media assets. You’ll also lead the development of engaging and beautiful brand assets -- across consumer, partner, and employee touchpoints. If you’re keen to understand emerging channels, nerd out over the latest design tools and tricks, have incredible attention to detail, and thrive on collaboration this could be the role for you. As a Visual/UX designer, you will be involved in every aspect of our multichannel marketing efforts – and have your fingerprints all over our emerging brand.
 

Responsibilities

  • Develop high performing creative assets and campaigns that elevate OJO Labs’ brand and drive action/engagement across multiple online channels. 
  • Roll up your sleeves to evolve and maintain our website presence 
  • Transform consumer and audience insights, messaging and other strategic inputs into compelling, engaging, and high performing creative 
  • Dive deep into performance data (CTR, conversion, dwell time, etc.) and use it to steer the direction of future creative strategy/execution 
  • Understand current marketing channels and explore emerging channels/touchpoints to and build channel optimized and contextually relevant creative that informs, engages, and delights our customers 
  • Present, explain, and defend visual design solutions to key stakeholders

 
 

Required Skills and Experience 

  • An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating B2C graphic design, online brand marketing, website design, and performance marketing. 
  • Experience using Sketch and Invision, Photoshop, Illustrator and other image-optimizing applications to create digital assets, physical artifacts, and online experiences 
  • Naturally curious and excited to learn 
  • A track record of presenting and defending design decisions, and moving quickly from design into production 
  • Understand user experience best practices for web design and mobile design 
  • Seeks feedback, happy to iterate, and enjoys collaborating with others 
  • 3+ years professional visual design experience in online marketing, digital advertising, and retail or e-commerce design 
  • Experience with design principles, typography, layout, and grid structures. 
  • Experience managing multiple projects with varying deadlines 

Preferred qualifications 

  • Expert photo retouching skills 
  • Motion graphics and / or relevant animation experience 
  • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot technical and process-related issues.
