DevOps Engineer

Austin, TX (Onsite 4 days per week)

The Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure to accelerate our development process. You will work closely with engineers and DevOps team members to optimize cloud infrastructure, improve developer workflows, and strengthen security practices.

This role is ideal for an experienced DevOps engineer with familiarity of Software Engineering principles and a passion for automation, cloud technologies, and system optimization.

Here are some of the ways in which you’ll achieve impact:

- Enable engineers to do their best work

- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to streamline cloud provisioning and automation.

- Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve developer efficiency and system reliability.

- Ensure security and compliance best practices are followed in all DevOps processes.

- Assist in monitoring and performance tuning of infrastructure, applications, and cloud services.

- Support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Troubleshoot system and network issues, working collaboratively across engineering teams.

- Help drive continuous improvement in DevOps workflows, identifying areas for automation and efficiency.

- Document DevOps practices and influence development teams.

You may be fit for this role if you:

- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or

equivalent experience.

- Have 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, with exposure to DevOps principles and cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, or Azure); direct DevOps experience is a plus.

- Are proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Go).

- Have experience with CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab).

- Have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.).

- Have a strong understanding of Kubernetes and containerization best practices.

- Are skilled in system administration (Linux-based environments).

- Have a working knowledge of networking, security, and monitoring tools (Datadog, NewRelic, etc.).

- Have a strong understanding of software development principles and the ability to collaborate with developers (Java/Kotlin, Python, or other languages).

- Possess empathy, kindness towards others, a positive attitude, and

self-awareness.

- Have experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

- Are willing and able to work on-site in Austin, TX.
