Director, Sales Operations
About ThousandEyes
The name ThousandEyes was born from two big ideas: the power to see things not ordinarily possible and the ability to collect insights from a multitude of vantage points. As organizations rely more on cloud services and the Internet, the network has become a black box they can't understand. ThousandEyes gives organizations visibility into the now borderless network, arming them with an accurate understanding of how the network impacts their applications, users and customers. ThousandEyes is used by some of the world's largest and fastest growing brands, including all of the top 5 global software companies, 5 of the top 6 US banks, and 45 of the Fortune 500. ThousandEyes is backed by Sequoia Capital, Sutter Hill Ventures, Tenaya Capital, Google Ventures and Salesforce Ventures, with headquarters in San Francisco, CA.
About the Role
Seeking Director, Sales Operations reporting to VP Sales Operations. Due to ThousandEyes' growth and early success, we are seeking a senior leader to help us further scale and grow to the next level.
As with all Sales Ops roles, there is no "one thing" that you would be responsible for, but rather across many disciplines from Sales Strategy, Sales Tools, Forecast, Territory Planning / Rules of Engagement, as well as other items. You will also have the unique ability to both play to your strengths and yet learn new things along with us.
In fact, any given day you may be evaluating a new tool, creating a new initiative from scratch, carving out new global territories, or similar things. You would work closely with the field sales team and sales management as primary customers, and would develop and strengthen close relationships outside of sales with Marketing, Finance (FP&A in particular), Analytics, and other teams.
We're looking for:
- Sales Operations experience, ideally at SaaS companies in high growth mode
- Examples of projects or processes you owned, improved, etc
- Management experience is required
- Location in Austin (our sales hub) or San Francisco (our HQ). No relocation provided.
- Experience with Salesforce.com, and associated sales productivity tools (lead management, QTC, etc)
The ideal candidate would also have a cultural fit - a curious nature, always seeking to understand and go the extra layer, analytical/data driven, comfortable with change, ambiguity, and always looking to improve things for sales and the business as a whole.
