Job Description

As an Algorithms Engineer, you will tackle Literati’s biggest challenges. Working closely with the Algorithms Lead, you’ll engineer cutting-edge machine learning APIs and optimization pipelines in Python. Your work will greatly impact product, supply chain, marketing, and customer support. The algorithms team is growing and offers significant mentorship and career advancement opportunities.

YOU’RE GOOD AT:

  • Engineering excellent solutions to complex problems
  • Solving business objectives with algorithms
  • Implementing machine learning pipelines end-to-end
  • Learning new techniques and honing your craft
  • Working with engineers and product managers to drive impact from your work

YOU WILL NEED:

  • BS / BA in a technical discipline
  • 3+ years engineering experience writing production code in Python
  • A passion for AI & ML
  • Extreme curiosity
  • A builder’s mentality
  • Rigorous work ethic
  • Passion for books

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Masters in a technical discipline
  • Prior work in DevOps 
  • Data Engineering Experience
  • Data Science and/or ML Experience

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL LOOK LIKE: 

  • Driving the creation of advanced machine learning algorithms across Demand Forecasting, Retention Modeling, Recommender Systems, NLP, price optimization, inventory optimization, logistics optimization, and marketing spending
  • Creating and maintaining data engineering pipelines
  • Working with the Algorithms Lead to test and evaluate new solutions to business problems
  • Offer new ideas for methods and approaches to company objectives
  • Execute engineering objectives as laid out by the Algorithms Lead
