Role Summary:

We are hiring an Associate level Java and Python Developer to assist with the creation of applications which solve our global organization’s enterprise wide challenges. The Java and Python Developer engages ideas with other internal engineers, technologists, project leadership and team members of external client accounts (when needed) to better understand business drivers, create and re-invent application portfolios, design reliable and cost-effective, clean and reliable code. As a Java and Python Developer, you will create cutting edge solutions that address key regional and global business challenges.
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software development/engineering. They should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges. We are looking for candidates who are comfortable at the intersection of technology and business. On the business side, the Java-Python Developer must possess the ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect.

As a Java-Python Developer, you will provide technical application solutions and approaches while developing the server-side logic to the Insight team’s application which interfaces with applicable data warehouses. this role would be hired on a Temp to Perm basis, starting out as a paid hourly freelancer with an eye on being converted to staff in January 2021 depending upon performance.

Responsibilities:

• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Execute and lead development of an internal API project
• Implementation of security of data / API

 Skills:

• Highly knowledgeable in MVC concepts with experience in at least 1+ years developing within the Python framework
• Experience with Java engineering
• Basic understanding and experience of front-end web design including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience in developing / architecting API which connect multiple data sources
• Proficient in unit testing and debugging
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application 
• Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python
• Proficient in database design and integration within web applications
• Overall 1+ years of development/engineering experience is required
• Degree is required; Advanced degree and/or related certifications preferred
