The rundown:

We are looking for an Automation Engineer to automate and build out processes for our large application code base, targeted for deployment to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and with small components in Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate has experience in automating infrastructure, various test suites, a continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline (CI/CD), and enjoys both design and implementation of cloud-based architectures. You will help expand existing process as well as implement new processes to improve the stability, performance, and quality of our large and ever-growing code base.

You will:

• Develop and implement automated testing practices, including integrating those practices into our Agile development process.
• Engage all engineers and particularly technical leads to entrench a consistent and repeatable approach to testing, infrastructure, and deployment across various teams.
• Recommend and implement tools for capturing bugs, user interaction workflows, and issues related to both customer-facing UIs and back-end processes using REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Expand existing test suites to incorporate front-end testing using headless tools such as Cypress and Selenium.
• Automate all existing test suites and ensure they are run automatically at appropriate times within the development and deployment lifecycle.
• Work closely with other engineers to assist in the reproduction and resolution of current issues.

 We are looking for someone with:

• 3+ years experience in an engineering automation, QA, or DevOps role
• Strong working knowledge of scripting and automation tools and strategies such as Cypress and Selenium WebDriver
• Experience implementing continuous integration solutions such as Spinnaker, Jenkins, and Salt, or similar, to multiple engineers and across multiple teams
• Experience with GCP or AWS (GCP preferred), especially deployment strategies, public and private instances and security policies, and blue/green deployments
• Ability to work closely with other engineers, managers and customer support team
