Who You Are

You are an experienced and passionate Backend QA engineer who is looking for an opportunity in a startup where you can grow with the company and help expand the existing skillsets of the QA team. You pay attention to detail, have a knack for uncovering new issues, and are excited by the opportunity to help grow the QA team at a startup. You are self-motivated and able to switch contexts as business needs change.

What You Will Do

• Create, execute and maintain integration, system, acceptance and performance test plans
• Develop and maintain automated functional and load tests for RESTful APIs
• Verify Cloud-hosted products that protect sensitive data
• Promote a culture of continuous testing
• Define and drive quality assurance best practices within the QA team.
• Work closely with product stakeholders and developers to ensure tests plans cover all requirements
• Develop test cases and unit tests for key implementations of Data Platform by adhering to software engineering best practices and standards

Your Skills and Experience

• At least 4 years of professional experience testing production software and systems
• Experience building automated tests using Selenium
• Experience testing backend systems via a RESTful API and other programmatic interfaces
• Experience creating automated tests using Python
• Experience load and stress testing using tools like JMeter or Locust
• Experience integrating automated tests into a CI/CD pipeline
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience with infrastructure as code
• Experience with testing in a Linux and Windows environment
• Experience with documentation/bug tracking tools
• Experience with a version control system like Git
• Excellent communication skills

• Experience with Pyramid
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure
