We are looking for a senior security engineer to contribute technical leadership to our cloud infrastructure security strategy and to execute on existing and new commitments to intra-department teams and SBG business units. We are responsible for keeping the employees, data, and infrastructure of heterogeneous environments and teams secure. If that sounds like an exciting challenge, we want to talk to you!
What you will do:
- Represent Security within the organization
- Take ownership of multiple projects and drive them to completion
- Own and develop team-wide strategic initiatives
- Communicate status of initiatives to a large audience of stakeholders
- Implement customer needs into security solutions using a product-oriented mindset
- Identify and communicate security issues, problems, and challenges to the rest of the Security team
- Champion innovative solutions, drive adoption of innovative solutions and/or technologies within the existing portfolio of security solutions
- Provide guidance and technical direction to junior team members
- Effectively communicate and influence internal and cross-functional teams to advance initiatives within the organization
- Track broad, cross-functional projects
- Support product security and internal security incident response
- Participate in vendor security management, vulnerability management, and risk assessment
Experience you bring:
- An understanding of security concepts facing today's captains of industry
- Familiarity with implementing solutions against compliance frameworks that still achieve the goal and not just check the box
- Experience building tools or automation to support cloud security
- Proven understanding of security threats facing companies today and ideas about how to address them
- Substantive experience leading multiple team projects and carrying them to completion.
- Sizeable contributions to cross-team collaborations
Skills you have:
- Familiarity with cloud architecture using platforms including AWS
- The security mentality that can analyze situations, technology, and human systems both as an attacker and defender
- Knowledge of programming and IaC languages, preferably Python, Go, Terraform
- Ability to take ownership of project tasks, collaborate on work, and deliver on schedule
- Ability to understand the business's strategic goals and proactively pursue projects to advance them
