As a Cloud Security Architect working in Ping's Denver or Austin office you will help design and maintain the security controls for Ping's SaaS and PaaS solutions, primary in the AWS cloud. You will be embedded in our SRE and development teams, working with key players, documenting security requirements, and working with GRC to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.

Job Functions:

• Design, document and maintain security controls for Ping's cloud offerings, including both SaaS and PaaS
• Develop secure configuration standards and controls while enabling the organization to remain nimble
• Work closely with the product engineering organization to ensure the cloud platforms meet their needs
• Assist with security analytics / IoC systems and alerts
• Work with key players to determine security requirements
• Promote a strong security culture through daily interactions with other organizations
• Work closely with other security team members in completing cross functional projects

Essential Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of infrastructure as a service (IaaS) / cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or GCE
• Strong experience with Linux administration or high-availability web application administration
• Strong Understanding of Cloud Infrastructure, and Security Design
• Strong Knowledge of networking concepts (ex: VPN, subnetting, ACLs, VLANs, IPtables/Security Groups)
• Requires minimal management attention-self managed and can work in a fluid environment

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Python, Bash and / or PowerShell
• Experience Threat Hunting
• Experience in Designing Effective Indicators of Compromise (IOC)
• Relevant certifications a plus (CCSK, CCSP, AWS Certified Security, CISSP, etc)
